July-August, barefoot in the sand, the smell of wax and sunscreen, fingertips wrinkled by saltwater. Olatua carries the naivety of an adolescence marked by the impatience of the next summer. The prisoners of this wonderful place where others come on vacation but never stay. Olatua is a concentration of suspended memories. Memories of a brief, futureless but unforgettable story. Those of an overwhelming wave of euphoria that recedes in September, as if nothing had ever existed. It clings to the skin, its trail persists. Yet, one must turn the page. As innocence fades with each passing summer, Olatua allows not to forget, to be reminded by the wave.
